Bittersweet

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

While Senator Oppenheimer finally won her race, Democrats still lost control of the chamber, and Tom Roach was ultimately unsuccessful in his recount.

In other news, Tom Abinanti’s victory in the 92nd Assembly District does mean there will be a Special Election early next year for his County Legislative seat.

Post Primary

Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Congratulations to all the Democratic primary victors! We can now focus on getting ALL our Democrats elected in November, from Andrew Cuomo on down. We have some very serious races in Westchester County this year, and we can’t win them without your help! Congressman John Hall is in a tight race in northern Westchester, while County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz is taking on a Tea Partier in an open seat race for the State Senate. Meanwhile, in lower Westchester, Senators Suzi Oppenheimer and Andrea Stewart-Cousins are running for re-election. Holding these two seats while getting Mike Kaplowitz elected is vitally important for maintaining a Democratic majority in the State Senate. Please contact us to get involved in any of these campaigns.

And saving the best for last — one of our Board members, Jared Rice, is running for City Council in New Rochelle!
