Welcome to the official website for the Westchester Young Democrats. For more than 75 years, the Young Democrats of America have been the official youth affiliate of the Democratic Party and have worked to educate, organize, and inspire young people from around the United States on the major issues facing our country and arm them with the knowledge, tools, and determination they need to make a positive difference in their communities and in our country.

With sprawling cities such as Yonkers and White Plains that employ many of our young professionals, 14 college and university campuses that educate our leaders of tomorrow, and a multitude of suburban hamlets where young families settle to raise their children, Westchester County is home to a young, diverse, and educated population of Young Democrats and our membership base reflects the talents and diversity of all residents of Westchester.

The Westchester Young Democrats work to:

• Elect Democratic candidates that best uphold the principles of the Democratic Party
• Encourage and cultivate the active involvement of young people in the democratic process
• Support the ideals of the Democratic Party at all levels of government
• Instill young people with the values for which the Democratic Party stands
• Provide young people with the skills and experiences needed to lead our nation.

Young Democrats receive first-hand experience in campaigns and elections, grassroots organizing, fundraising, and candidature for elective office, just to name a few. Many of the Democratic Party’s leaders got their start in politics with the Young Democrats.
